How To Transfer Windows Live Mail To A New Computer

Windows Live Mail is an email application from Microsoft. If you are about to replace your old laptop and get a new one, you would very well want to transfer your emails. This is pretty easy to achieve. All you have to do is to export the data into an USB drive and then transfer it to the new laptop as per advised by the Windows Live help team.

Instructions
Export mail
Go to an unoccupied area on your desktop and right click there to bring out a contextual menu in which you will be able to access the "New" tab to bring on the "Folder" which will allow you to shape up an empty folder on your desktop.
In the Windows Mail window, navigate to the "File" tab to bring out the "Export" tab in which you will be able to pick out the "Messages" tab from the sub menu.
Pick out the "Microsoft Windows Mail" tab and then hit on "Next" tab.
Pick out "Browse" button to pick out the "Select Folder" in which you have to select the "Next” tab.
In the "All Folders" tab, trigger the "Next" tab and then wrap up the entire process by triggering the "Finish" tab.
Transfer to a USB Drive
Plug in a flash drive in to the USB port on your computer.
Transfer the Windows Live email from your computer to the USB flash drive by accessing the Windows Explorer.
Trigger the "Start" tab and pick out the "My Computer" to pick out the "Eject" tab which will appear when right clicked on the icon of the USB drive which will allow you to Remove the USB drive from the computer.
Import Mail
Now just insert the USB flash drive to the CPU of your new computer and hang around until it recognizes the device.
Open up the Windows Live Mail application on your computer and trigger the "File" tab that lies on the top hand corner of the current window to pick out the "Import Messages" tab.

Opt for the "Windows Live Mail" and then trigger the "Next" tab which will allow you to "Browse" button. Navigate to the folder on the USB drive connected to the computer.
Tag on the "OK" tab in which you have to acquire the "Next" to get hold of the "All Folders" tab and then hit on the "Next" tab.
Tag along the "Finish" tab to wind up the entire process
With these simple steps, you would have been able to easily transfer your files. Contact the Microsoft Windows Live help center for more details regarding this topic.
