Steps To Repair Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003

The automatic update feature is one of the perks of using the Microsoft Office 2003 program. This will enable you to download the latest updates to the system, will help you in keep the system free from any system errors, and will fix the bugs found in the system. But sometimes the updates will not be able to fix the problem for you as there may be some severe corruptions in your system and the application may crash. In such cases, you will have to perform a repair function from the installation disk to fix the bug. To run the Microsoft Office repair program, just follow the simple steps given below.

Instructions
  • First, go to the left bottom corner of your screen and then click on the Start button to expand the Start menu. Now click on the Control Panel option found on the right side of the Start menu.
  • Go to the Add or Remove Programs option in the Control Panel menu and click on it. 
  • Now you will see a window displayed with all the programs installed in your system. Find Microsoft Office 2003 from the list of the programs and click on the Change option.
  • A dialog box will appear now asking you what you want to do with the Office program, choose the Reinstall or Repair option from it.
  • A window will appear displaying some options for you, select the Detect and Repair errors in my Office installation option and then select the Install option to begin the Microsoft Office repair wizard. 
  • When prompted to insert the installation disk of the Office suite program, insert the disk in to the optical disk drive of the computer. 
  • The program will now automatically run the repair function, search for errors in the program files, and will repair the damaged files by copying the original files to the application folder.
  • When the repair wizard finishes the process, it will close by itself. You may get a prompt to restart your system when the process is complete.
  • To restart the system, click on the Start button, then click on the Shut down button, and then select the Restart option to complete the process.
